Have you got example of reading from a Linux system? Does your laser measuring sensors support work in Linux system?

Seakeda laser range modules can be used to Linux system, but write the corresponding Linux driver according to the serial port tool you are using is needed. Development languages can use cross-platform development languages so that you can be used on different systems. It's the same with Android system.
